CheckMySpeed.org provides a free internet speed testing tool that runs entirely in your web browser. The Service measures your connection's download speed, upload speed (estimated), and latency using client-side JavaScript.

3. Use of Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use automated systems or software to extract data from the Service for commercial purposes
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
• Use the Service to transmit any harmful code, viruses, or malicious software
• Overload or attempt to overload the Service infrastructure

4. Accuracy of Results

While we strive to provide accurate speed test results, the Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Speed test results may be affected by various factors including:

• Network congestion and traffic
• Distance to test servers
• Browser performance and capabilities
• Device specifications and system resources
• WiFi interference or signal strength
• Other applications using bandwidth
• CDN availability and performance

Results should be considered estimates and not guaranteed measurements.

5. No Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. CheckMySpeed.org makes no warranties, expressed or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement of intellectual property rights
• Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of test results
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Freedom from viruses or other harmful components

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall CheckMySpeed.org, its operators, or contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its source code, design, text, graphics, and other content, is provided as open source software. Unless otherwise stated, all content is available under an open source license. Third-party trademarks and resources used by the Service remain the property of their respective owners.

The Service uses third-party CDN resources for speed testing purposes. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of these third-party services. Your interactions with these services are governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

10. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

We reserve the right to update or change these Terms of Service at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
